Research Statement:

The research activities of Dr. Park include the development of intelligent polymer nanocomposites with nano-scale inclusions for aerospace applications. In recent years, his work has mainly focused on the utilization of carbon nanotubes to control physical properties of multifunctional polymer nanocomposites. Sensing and actuating capabilities of carbon nanotube reinforced electroactive polymer nanocomposites have been studied to improve controlled responses upon various external stimuli during aerospace aviation.
